Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine
Our department employs experienced doctors of the first and highest category. To conduct anesthesia, modern equipment, techniques and preparations are used.
Our specialists have all kinds of anesthetic support during surgical interventions. A subtle knowledge of the characteristics of the course of anesthesia allows the doctors of our center to operate patients even with the most severe pathology of the cardiovascular system and lungs.
The department uses the latest achievements of anesthesiology and resuscitation and modern equipment to provide anesthesia and resuscitation.
The intensive care unit with intensive care chambers is deployed to 9 beds, which are equipped in accordance with the world standards required for resuscitation departments of a cardiosurgical profile. Constant invasive monitoring allows timely correction of the therapy.
In the department, extracorporeal methods of detoxification are used: plasmapheresis, permanent veno-venous ultrafiltration, hemodialysis. Laboratory of artificial circulation
The majority of open heart and major vessel operations are currently impossible without the use of the artificial circulation method.
The main task of the laboratory is to perform artificial circulation with complete extracorporeal bypass of the heart. This method is successfully used both in the correction of heart defects (congenital and acquired), and in the treatment of coronary heart disease. Also our specialists carry out all known methods of myocardial protection.
Highly qualified laboratory specialists, if necessary, use the methods of ancillary circulation in the pre- and postoperative period: intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). During surgery, blood-saving techniques are used, which helps to avoid transfusion of donor blood.
