Rehabilitation after stroke
Many years of experience in the rehabilitation of patients after a stroke at all stages, starting from the first day of the disease, a wide arsenal of modern equipment and qualified specialists allow our patients to successfully restore impaired functions.
Rehabilitation of patients with stroke requires the participation of various specialists and therefore qualitative implementation of it is possible only in a multidisciplinary center.
After the end of inpatient treatment, we try not to lose contact with our patients and provide counseling and methodological assistance in the subsequent stages of rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation after a spinal cord injury
The main goal of rehabilitation of patients after a spinal cord injury is restoration of functions that have been lost, and in case of impossibility of their recovery — training the patient for maximum independence and freedom in all spheres of life.
Rehabilitation after endoprosthetics
As a result of surgery, orthopedic surgeons will repair the damage of your joints, but this is only one of the stages of a return to a full life.
An individual program of restorative treatment will allow to adapt as quickly as possible in the postoperative period.
Rehabilitation based on a day hospital
We integrated the technologies of the rehabilitation hospital into outpatient facilities.
This allows you to treat the patient “in one hand”, observing the continuity of rehabilitation, both in the hospital and at subsequent stages.
In day hospital conditions, treatment is carried out with:
- Motor and speech disorders after strokes
- Painful spine syndromes
- Osteoarthritis of the hip, knee and other joints
- Older injuries and fractures
Home rehabilitation and telemedicine
Before discharge from the hospital, we are conducting a training program “Rehabilitation and care at home.” This program is designed for relatives of “recumbent” patients with the purpose of learning to care: how to properly feed the patient, how to care for the skin, pressure sores, cystostomy, probe. And most importantly, how to properly move the patient and perform with him the simplest exercises of physical therapy, which are mandatory in the constant bed of the patient.
In some cases, to determine the possibility and feasibility of hospitalization in the rehabilitation department, our specialists conduct field consultations in Moscow and the Moscow region. We can also assess the patient’s condition with the help of tele-technologies.
Innovations and scientific developments
The hallmark of the Pirogov Center is the ability to create new technologies and methods of rehabilitation. Our clinic is the leader in the application of locomotor assistive robots. Annually, more than 2 thousand patients with severe motor disorders developing as a result of a stroke or CNS trauma receive high-tech rehabilitation at the Pirogov NMSC with the use of the robotic mechanotherapy method.
This was devoted to dissertations, monographs, hundreds of articles, regular speeches at all major world forums.
The rapid development of rehabilitation technologies, the improvement of brain-computer-interface systems, the creation of active exoskeletons for the restoration of walking motivate us to seek new opportunities for helping our patients.
