The chief of the gynecological department with a day hospital Elena Vitalievna Gamirova — the obstetrician-gynecologist of the CDC Izmailovsky, an associate professor of the Academic Department of Women’s Diseases and Reproductive Health — participated in the 4th International Summit of Minimally Invasive and Non-Invasive Medicine (ISMINIM) on July 13-14, 2019, which was held in Chongqing (China).

The summit was attended by representatives of more than 30 countries, including Russia. E.V. Gamirova presented a report on the ten-year experience of using the HIFU CZF apparatus in the Pirogov Center in outpatient practice in terms of the evolution of ultrasound in gynecology: from diagnostics to non-invasive treatment.

In the gynecological department with a day hospital at the CDC Izmailovsky, for the specified period of time, 580 ultrasound ablations were performed on patients with vulvar and cervical pathology. The results of non-surgical treatment — complete recovery of almost 90%. The advantages of the method are: the possibility of treatment on an outpatient basis, the absence of radiation exposure, low risks of complications, the minimum level of discomfort for the patient, healing without scarring.

The presented report received a lively response and interest of the summit delegates.
